Here’s Exactly How Our Ingredients Treats Dark Spots
Hydroquinone removes dark spots by slowing down melanin production, allowing existing spots to fade while preventing new ones from forming.
70% of sufferers notice permanent clearance or reduction in dark spots with twice daily hydroquinone used for three months.
Vitamin C removes dark spots by restricting the enzyme responsible for the production of melanin.
Glycolic acid removes dark spots by suppressing the production of melanin.
Kojic acid removes dark spots by blocking tyrosine from forming, which then prevents melanin production.

To preface, I have Seborrheic Dermatitis (a form of eczema). It makes my skin a lovely peeling, disgusting mess around my nose, mouth, chin, and a spot between my eyebrows. It's worse in cold, dry winter air (which is half the year in eastern Oregon). It's also worse during stress. So basically about 90% of the time I've been feeling like a snake shedding its skin on my face and it see a lot of discoloration on my face. It is embarrassing and hurts. So I tried a million gentle skin cleansers, creams, oils, everything. Went to the Dr who gave me an anti-fungal cream and told me to mix it half and half with hydrocortisone. Nothing worked. If I scrubbed hard enough with a rag to get the peelings off, it was practically raw.
Fast forward about a month ago we went to Vegas. The hotel had three, yes three, of the little stores with barely English-speaking people pushing under eye cream bags and wrinkle cream. Somehow my husband was dumb enough to get roped into talking to one of the gals, who was then close enough to grab my arm and propel me into a chair. After putting on the dark spot corrector cream, I said what I want is a way to get rid of this nasty peeling mess. She says she has just the thing. Having been to many "parties like melaleuca and Mary Kay" I was like no way are you putting anything on me, I'll peel even worse! So she put a little gel formula on the back of my hand and gently massaged it in. Talk about a DISGUSTING mess, rolled up pieces of gunk all over my hand, sort of like when you rub rubber cement, but a couple of hundred peeling deals. Did I mention it was gross-looking? Anyway, she said it's taking off the dead skin cells. I thought ya right, it didn't feel like sand scraping like every other exfoliator I've tried. So I figured it had to just be the gel globbing up and "looking" like dead skin. But when she washed it off my hand was nice and smooth. At that point, I was irritated enough with this 20 yr old telling me how old I looked (eye wrinkles) and just wanted to get out of there. BUT I was intrigued with the (slight) possibility this could help my face without it hurting. So I haggled, a jar for $25 and a bunch of other "gifts". That's a crazy amount of money to me, but nothing when you look at the amount of stuff I tried the lady a few years ago that didn't work and was just thrown away, 100's of dollars worth. So I was ok with this bargain.
Also, I need to note, there were two types of shops, Vine Vera and Vivo Per Lei, which seemed identical except in packaging colors. It was the Vine Vera I'd bought.
Anyway, I went back to the hotel room and tried it on my face. It did the same as on my hand, in the areas of peeling skin, huge rolls of gunk came up, the cheeks and forehead nothing. It didn't hurt (you rub this in GENTLY). Wash it off with a washrag. ALL my peeled skin was gone! For a couple more days it was STILL gone! This has NEVER EVER happened in the 4 yrs I've been fighting this dermatitis. I think the directions say to use it once a week as basically a micro-dermabrasion. When my peels came back in a couple of days I tried it again.
Again success and they stay away for a couple of days!!! I'm gentle and it doesn't hurt. One time I rubbed aggressively on my chin, it hurt some, and got some red bumps that stayed a while. Lesson learned, rub gently. Also DON'T use too much, less work, too much is too think and it does nothing. Probably a large pea size is enough for my chin, nose, and between the eyebrows, possibly a Lima bean size for my whole face is the right amount.
So this Dark Spot Corrector worked, but how would I get more? I'm not going back to Vegas for a while, so I looked online for a solution. Of course, you can buy it on this website for an exorbitant amount. I was perfectly willing to pay the $25 again, I mean this stuff WORKS, but like I said, not near Vegas.
Guess what, the same product works like a champ! It's the BEST thing I've found to combat this severe dermatitis. It doesn't take away the red from cold air, but I don't have that if I'm not out in the cold wind. I can go WITHOUT makeup if I want when the red flare-up isn't there. Haven't done that in years
When I say I’m incredibly grateful to have stumbled upon this exfoliator I don’t think I can emphasize the INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL enough! I have been using this product for a little over 2 weeks now and it has done what no product in the last year has been able to do. At the beginning of 2020, my skin started to change - hormonal acne and worse thing ever, my melasma mustache. I bought every single possible product, over the counter and prescription, to help with hyperpigmentation/melasma, nothing helped. I was consistent with products but nothing would fade my marks. I decided to look online, which I was pretty skeptical about buying beauty products on, and this has amazing reviews. I read every review, read every question and response, and said wth, let’s try it! I am beyond words at how happy I was. My routine is, wash my face with this exfoliator - spot treat my hyperpigmented areas, then vitamin c serum then hydrate with a good clean moisturizer. I highly recommend this product! Try it for 2-3weeks at the very least. I understand everyone's skin is different but this has been the only thing that has worked. Please don’t change anything about it, I absolutely love it!
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So far I been using it for two weeks and skin look more clear I believe is working.
I’ve been using this mask for just over a year to target hyperpigmentation from melasma. I’ve been using it in combo with other products to attack my melasma, 4% hydroquinone, niacinamide, and azelaic acid. Like all the products all this list, it *needs time* to work, and you need to stick with it. Over time, as you shed the top pigmented layers of skin, newer less pigmented skin surfaces even out your overall skin tone. To work, this requires continual usage. And like all skincare, it’s worthless if you don’t protect your skin with sunscreen daily! I find this to be effective and the price is right.
Such a dramatic difference in just 2 weeks! I’ve had $500 Melanage Peels, $1200 Halo Laser treatments, & I’ve used 4% hydroquinone & .05% tretinoin off & on for years. I stopped taking oral birth control pills (so bad for melasma!) about 4 months ago, which helped in terms of not causing continual overproduction of melanin. At that time, I also got an Enlighten Peel ($500) that significantly helped. But my melasma was so bad that I needed something even stronger than that peel as part of my daily regimen. Hydroquinone is 3-6 x’s STRONGER, therefore BETTER, FASTER RESULTS!
Wow. There's so much to like about this exfoliator -- everything but the price!
I have sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin. I am 39yo.
Based on the good reviews, I figured I'd give it a try. I've used it for two weeks now. In this short period of time, dark marks have faded entirely (post-acne hyperpigmentation), my skin has smoothed out so much that I stopped using my primer, and my skin feels like buttah.
I didn't experience any sensitivity issues at all with this product and used it nightly from day one.
It has a thick gel texture.
Again, I have sensitive skin. Like, really obnoxiously cranky skin that gets red and blotchy when I introduce new products at all. I was totally shocked that I experienced no sensitivity or irritation or redness or flaking -- nothing! -- when using this product.
It is so hard to find a product that exfoliates and hydrates at the same time. This product manages to do both.
I wish I could tell how much is in the bottle, but it is opaque (likely to keep the product from reacting) and you can't tell.
The price is bananas, but it is hard to argue with the results.
If you're in your 20s and have no skin issues, save your money. If you have uneven skin,or if you have acne, or if you have fine lines or wrinkles, give this a chance.
I suffered from acne during high school, and about a year ago started really taking care of my skin and clearing it up. I happened to come across this product a month or so ago & was SO scared to buy it because the price is so heavy. I would spend the money on this over and over again. Let me start by saying for the first time in almost 5 years I actually LIKE stepping out with no face makeup. Truly, I don't feel the daily need for it anymore. I've used it for almost 2 weeks & there is such a difference in my skin; I wanted to cry after the first week. Nothing has helped the mild scarring & unevenness of my sensitive skin & this product is already brightening my darker spots/scars & my redness is all but gone. The BEST part: it didn't break me out or cause my dry, sensitive skin to flake. Which is crazy, because I thought for sure this would cause me to flake maybe a little. Seriously, I cannot tell you how much I love this product. If you're like me & are trying to help your skin & turn it around, PLEASE give this a chance. The cons are going to be an echo of a lot of reviews; the packaging IS bad. I wouldn't care for the glass part but what really bugs me is there would be no way of knowing if you got all of the product out, or when you need to buy more. Hopefully they will improve that a little bit. Anyway, that is small to me compared to what this exfoliator does for my face. Outstanding job on this.
Only after 2 weeks of use I can see. My spots dramatically fading
